Xiao Ling — Little Spirit
A small lotus with ivory-white petals, a sunlit golden heart, and a bright green seedpod at its center. Though petite in name, it carries an extraordinary sense of light and freshness. Its open petals seem to cradle the intricate golden stamens, while the green seedpod rises like a tiny jewel at the heart of the bloom. Xiao Ling is gentle, luminous, and quietly enchanting—a little lotus that seems to glow from within. Its petals are a soft, creamy white, warmed at their centers by a subtle wash of pale yellow. They open broadly and gracefully around a vivid green seedpod, creating a beautiful contrast between the cool white petals, fresh green foliage, and the glowing gold-orange ring of stamens.

The flower has a particularly charming small-scale elegance. Its rounded green seedpod sits prominently at the heart of the bloom, surrounded by fine, curling stamens that give the center an intricate, almost whimsical texture. The petals are not rigid or perfectly symmetrical; their gentle folds and irregular openings give Xiao Ling the natural grace of a flower caught at its most expressive moment.

The name Xiao Ling (小灵) suits it beautifully if xiao is intended as “little.” There is something intimate and tender about the name—a little spirit, perhaps, or a small presence with surprising radiance.
