Nelumbo nucifera
An absolutely stunning lotus that starts out with a dark pink bud, opens as a beautiful pink and white flower which lightens each day into a creamy white with dark pink tips along the petals. Lighter green leaves will turn to face the sun each day. Often presents flower buds before the first aerial leaf. 'Embolene' blooms better when the temperatures really heat up.
